Animal Welfare
FOCUS AREAS

We believe that animals, as sentient beings, have an equal right to exist on this planet. Yet, their habitats and lives are increasingly threatened by human activities—from deforestation and urbanization to exploitative industries and climate change.
While conservation efforts for keystone species like tigers have demonstrated measurable success, there remains a vast gap in awareness, research, and protection for many other animals including reptiles like snakes, which are essential to ecosystems but are often reviled, ignored, or poached for illegal trade. People often recognize the need to care for community animals or endangered species but overlook the suffering of farmed animals, working animals, and those used in entertainment or fashion. India’s biodiversity loss is not just an environmental crisis but an economic one. According to a World Bank report, India could lose $1.29 trillion (around 5.7% of its GDP) by 2030 due to ecosystem degradation and biodiversity loss. However, conservation efforts have proven that change is possible—with India’s tiger population rebounding due to sustained intervention. Our work in this space aims to bridge critical gaps in awareness, advocacy, and action, ensuring that all animals are treated with dignity and respect.
